Import photos using Windows

For the sake of experiment, try temporarily disabling auto-lock. Settings - Screen and brightness - Auto lock - Never. Or just do not let the iPhone put out the screen while downloading photos.

Using Windows Explorer
You do not need to use iTunes to transfer photos from your iPhone to your computer - you can transfer them using the standard Windows Explorer.
- Step 1. Connect your iPhone to your computer using a USB cable.
- Step 2. Unlock iPhone. A pop-up message will appear asking if this computer should be allowed access to your photos and videos. Click "Allow"so that your computer can see photos and videos from your iPhone.

- Step 3. Download and install iCloud on your PC using this the link. Sign in to iCloud using the same Apple ID and password as your iPhone. If you prefer to simply access your photos from the Internet, you can go to iCloudto view your photos and other iCloud backups.
Back up photos using Dropbox, Google Drive, or another cloud service
ICloud is convenient, but you are not limited to this cloud service for storing information. Fortunately, other cloud storage services exist, such as Dropbox, OneDrive and Google drive, they all have an automatic backup of photos from your iPhone built into their iOS app.
Dropbox instructions
- Step 1. Download and install the Dropbox app for iOS.
- Step 2. Log in to your Dropbox account. If this is your first time signing up for the Dropbox app, you will have the option to enable photo upload on the next screen. Click this and let Dropbox access your photos.
If you have previously registered with the Dropbox app, open Settings> Camera Download. Turn on camera downloads and let Dropbox access your photos. Your photos will be uploaded to your Dropbox folder when your phone is connected via Wi-Fi (unless you turn it on Use Mobile Data, in which case your photos will be uploaded in real time).
Instructions for Google Drive:
- Step 1. Download and install the application Google Drive for iOS.
- Step 2. Sign in to Google Drive with your Google Account. If this is your first time entering the Google Drive app, you will have the option to enable backup of photos and videos on the next screen. Click Enable and select the size you want your photos and videos to be uploaded.

- Step 1. Register for IFTTT.
